3 Bedroom House in Sagelat

Le Coustalet is a bright , airy modern house enjoying splendid panoramic views across the valley and the surrounding countryside. The 8x4m pool has a large deck in Ipé and is in the sun all the day long. The open plan lounge/ kitchen looks out through the 6m long bay window onto the terrace, pool and the view. Satellite flat screen T.V with DVD. and music system and broadband WiFi. Fully equipped kitchen with a separate larder. The entry hall leads into a bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room with W.c. There is a separate W.c. next to the stairs. Upstairs : children's bedroom with twin beds and a large bedroom with twin beds that can be joined together to make a double.The second bathroom is in the tower off the landing.
We have decided to expand our off season and would like to mention that there are electric radiators in each room and a log burning insert in the lounge. We will include firewood in the price but the fluctuating and rising energy costs makes it very difficult to calculate electricity charges so we will ask for a €50 weekly contribution payable on arrival from November to the end of March.

Summary: Friendly and welcoming host. Excellent countryside location and central for all the places we wanted to visit. It is a very well equipped and comfortable gite. We managed to enjoy use of the pool on most days during our holiday and the view from the terrace is superb. Fully recommended.

Summary: This was the perfect holiday home for us. A rural location, yet only 5 minutes from the beautiful village of Belves. The views of the countryside from the house are stunning, the pool is perfect - it kept our children entertained for hours! There is so much to do in the local area, caves, castles, markets and medieval towns and villages. Bernard is a brilliant host. He gave us lots of local knowledge and this really helped us to make the most of our holiday. All in all a wonderful property!

Summary: Lovely break away in a house in a quiet area of Sagelat. Brilliant view, well maintained gardens. House is clean and functional, comfortable beds, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, washing machine, BBQ and a good sized swimming pool that is heated. TV has French and English channels. Internet was 10-15mb with fibre due in the area if you're a digital nomad! Nearby supermarkets, bakeries, petrol, bars within a 10 minute drive. Bernard is approachable and always willing to help with any matter. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants somewhere nice to stay while they explore the dordorgne. Bergerac & Sarlat nearby 45-50m for lovely scenery and hypermarkets. Cheers!

Summary: A fantastic property looking out at the Dordogne hills (the view takes your breath away as you drive through the gates and park next to the house) Bernard was a great host- he lives approx 1km from the house but left us alone and text to check it was ok to come and clean the pool before turning up. Good to know he was nearby if needed. A beautiful quiet setting, 10 minute drive to the local supermarket, 10 minute drive to some excellent river beaches or venture 30 minutes or so to Roque-Gageac and Sarlat etc. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived, well equipped for our family (2 adults & 2 teenagers), positioned on a very quiet lane - very rare to see a passing car (maybe 10 a day at most), Bernard’s dog would lay in the middle of the road asleep - showing how rarely there was a car in the village. Pool is not heated but is plenty warm enough due to its positioning in the sun and due to being filtered 24 hours a day it stayed very clean. Cannot recommend highly enough - absolutely perfect!!

Summary: A lovely peaceful property with outstanding views. Completely private and fabulous pool. Very well equipped and immaculately clean. Very helpful, friendly host who was available when needed. Homemade walnut cookies from the host's farm were delicious. Wish we'd booked 2 weeks as there is so much to fo nearby.

Summary: Comfortable furnishings, very well equipped kitchen and beautiful view. Great downstairs shower, ( upstairs is tub with handheld) good WiFi. Well situated for exploring the Dordogne on the region’s twisting roads. We usually ate dinner in, but had a nice dinner down the hill at Auberge de La Nauze. (Reserve)

Summary: The view, as we walk out of the door and look across the swimming pool and beyond is never going to leave me, breathtaking. The house was perfect for our holiday as we just wanted peace and quiet. Belves is a 4 minute drive away where there are shops, bars and restaurants which we frequented.
